Wendy has been running drama groups in schools across Kent and Sussex for 20 years. The benefits are vast both for students who love acting and those whose aim is to make friends and get creative! We do lots of fun things such as presentations, shows and public speaking as well as focusing on core skills such as speaking and listening and confidence in speaking and self expression.............and all while having fun! Group Lessons: Exam Preparation
From age 8, Students can take SOLO or DUOLOGUE exams with an exam group. We will look more closely at characters, scripts and playwrights and begin to develop critical thinking. Students explore and present scripted work, learn about classical and contemporary pieces, learn to communicate emotions both vocally and physically. Oracy and Creative Confidence Clubs
The courses run by Wendy Florence provide LAMDA or NEA exams, Drama and Public Speaking courses across a range of junior and senior schools in Sussex, Surrey, London and Kent. Courses can run as breakfast, lunch time and after school clubs. Sessions each week last for 45 minutes. The course runs for 10 weeks per term and costs £125 per term. Students who sign up automatically roll forward each term. Our courses will explore techniques used to support public speaking with a close study of vocal skills and enunciation. We believe that these skills equip children and young adults with the tools and confidence needed to enter a world where fluency, and ease with public speaking is vital. Students will study a range of presentation skills, vocal techniques, speech writing and delivery as well as debating.
Keeping Children Safe
The safety of children is of the highest priority. Wendy Florence Murray is fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly Criminal Records Bureau or CRB) checked, attends regular child safeguarding courses, and keeps in contact with all schools adhering to schools’ child safeguarding policies and practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in her classes.
